As if Kirby’s gonna look any more menacing because someone drew angry eyebrows on him. (Never mind that he’s practically already a puffball of mass destruction in the first place, appearances aside.)

The nightmare in dream land boxart fucking sucks.

Their desperate attempt to be more ‘badass’ is laughable. Let’s start with the fact they took artwork from the anime. They scroll through all the official art of Kirby and pick fighter specifically because it’s the angriest-looking.

Then they go and put Meta Knight - i.e. the most badass/menacing you can get with a Kirby game - looming on the background, bigger than Kirby and basically the first thing you actually look at. This screams “this game is about meta knight and also kirby is in it”.

Nevermind the fact Meta Knight’s particular role in this game is pretty minor - especially since in this version they took out the thing with him being the one who gave Kirby the invincibility lollipops.

The Canvas Curse boxart is pretty cool though.
